GPBank launches new brand identity and GP.DigiPlus application

GPBank has officially announced its new brand identity and launched the digital banking platform GP.DigiPlus, marking an important transformation milestone in the comprehensive restructuring process under the strategic companionship of the parent bank VPBank.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has just approved the amendment of the name of Global Petro Commercial One Member Limited Bank to Generation of Prosperity Sole Member Limited Commercial Bank, with the abbreviation remaining as GPBank.

On this occasion, GPBank officially launched its new brand identity, with the philosophy "For a Generation of Prosperity", a brand declaration strongly connected with the message "For a Prosperous Vietnam" of the parent bank VPBank, while expressing the aspiration to accompany customers on the journey to create a sustainable future.

The new brand system uses orange as the main tone, combined with a modern gradient effect, symbolizing positive energy and new vitality. The logo symbol is inspired by the “prosperous sprout”, combining the spirit of sustainable growth with the “V” letterform associated with VPBank, showing the connection in vision, strategy, and inheritance of the parent bank’s values – of a technology-leading bank to create a strong and breakthrough transformation for GPBank in its transition journey. The rebranding event demonstrates GPBank’s strong commitment to transformation, shaping a modern operating and business model with a long-term focus on becoming one of Vietnam’s leading banks in the SME segment, providing innovative and comprehensive digital solutions.

"We aim to build GPBank into a modern bank, with technology as the foundation, customers at the center, and people as the driving force. The companionship of VPBank provides a solid foundation for GPBank to maximize its potential in this new phase. The new brand identity is not only a change in image but also a milestone marking the beginning of GPBank’s long-term development journey," said Mr. Nguyễn Huy Phách, General Director of GPBank.

As an important member of VPBank’s distinctive expanded ecosystem with more than 30 million customers and the companionship of strategic partner SMBC, along with support from the parent bank in human resources, finance, technology, and governance, GPBank is transforming strongly with a fast and comprehensive restructuring pace. As of the end of June, GPBank has recorded many positive business results. Specifically, deposit growth reached 20%, and self-funded credit increased by 3% compared to the beginning of the year. Notably, after many difficult years, in June as well as in the second quarter of 2025, GPBank started to make a profit, marking an important turning point in the restructuring process. The Bank’s Board of Management assessed that the profit plan of 500 billion VND this year is entirely feasible.

A strong step forward in digital transformation with GP.DigiPlus

This determination has been realized “immediately” with the GP.DigiPlus digital banking platform, launched at the same time as the new brand identity, marking the beginning of the transformation journey in operations and service model.

GP.DigiPlus is designed as a multifunctional financial hub, allowing customers to experience a full range of banking services with just a few simple steps, from payment transactions, savings, to business management and flexible credit products.

In the initial phase, GP.DigiPlus focuses on redesigning the customer journey, from approach, consultation to approval, based on next-generation technology. All processes are fully digitalized, enabling SME customers to access capital and financial services more quickly, while reducing operating costs and shortening processing time.

GPBank aims that by the end of 2025, digital transaction customers will account for the majority, affirming the strategy of transforming into a fully digitalized bank. In the next phase, the bank will continue to upgrade GP.DigiPlus with new features such as a loyalty point program, virtual assistant, integration of fintech and open banking solutions, bringing a richer and more convenient financial ecosystem to users.

The launch event of the new brand identity together with GP.DigiPlus is clear evidence of the determination to define a new development path, gradually affirming GPBank’s position in the Vietnamese banking system and opening a prosperous era, exactly as the message that the bank pursues.
